Our own co-owner Clayton Johnson took a very respectable 4th place at this years National Physique Committee (NPC) USA show, which was held at UNLV in Las Vegas. The NPC is the sanctioning body for the top amateurs in the country, and the USA event is the premier national show. At this show winners of each weight class turn pro under the International Federation of Body Builders (IFBB). Clay battled it out against the best light heavies in the country Saturday night and needless to say we are all very proud of his placing and accomplishments to date. We're very confident Clay will take his weight class next year and attain his desired professional status. To follow his progress "LIKE" his athlete pages on Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter

After being on his back fending off multiple submission attempts for most of the first round, Cion came out like a lion in the second. As soon as the bell rang starting the second, Dan immediately struck Milliken with a left hook then followed with a right hand that forced Casey to hit the mat. Cion finished Milliken with multiple punches until the ref called a stoppage. Cion won by KO bringing his professional MMA record to 4-1. We at Monster Nutrition are immensely proud of Danny and his recent accomplishment. We hope to see him emerge as a superstar in the sport during the upcoming years.
Fifteen years ago, Clayton Johnson says he never predicted his Farmingdale roots would lead him into national bodybuilding. Johnson, co-owner of Monster Nutrition, began his career in high school and has since blown up in the world of fitness. "Training for football in high school was my first introduction to weight training," the Farmingdale High School graduate said. "I loved it and I just took off. It gave me a big boost of confidence and self esteem, and I couldn't stop." After placing seventh in the Junior Nationals in Chicago last month, Johnson has been training extensively to prepare for the Junior USA competition this weekend in Las Vegas. "I have to come in a little bit grainier, a little bit harder and pull the rest of that little bit of water out," he said. "It's one of the biggest amateur shows in the country and the winner turns professional." Johnson has trained at Infinity Fitness in Farmingdale for several years, and found it to be the perfect space to open his own store, with his business partner and childhood best friend, Darren Anselmo.
